NORDIC WALKING FOR ALL ABILITIES

(Approximately 3+ mile walk)

Morning Sessions

MONDAY and SATURDAY 

9.30am Approx. 1 hour session

FOR THE MORE EXPERIENCED FITNESS WALKERS

(Approximately  4+ mile walk)

Evening Session

MONDAY

6.00pm Approx. 1 1/2 hour session

30 MINUTE FREE TASTER SESSIONS

30 minutes at various times to get a feel and understanding of the sport! 

(Poles will be provided)

2 WEEK BEGINNER COURSES

Concentrating on the full 10 steps of the INWA technique this a dedicated course to give you strength and confidence for future walk.

Book a 2 week course. (Poles will be provided)

What to wear?

Layers and comfortable breathable clothing are great.  Vests/T-shirts and sports leggings are ideal, with fleece jumper or tracksuit top.  Waterproof layers essential if it is raining!  Trainers are perfect however if it is raining some waterproof walking shoes are perfect (but not walking high ankle boots as they tend to be too heavy).

Do I need poles?

On your taster session poles will be provided, however it is advised to purchase your own after this initial trial. Donna will advise what type and where to buy these from.  You need to consider the correct sizing and it is highly recommended an 80% carbon material and fixed length poles (not adjustable). Prices start from £40.

Future Sessions

I have every intention to provide more sessions which will include different speeds and distances depending on the group abilities.  Please get in contact if you have a different day/time preferred and I will try and accommodate new sessions when I can.   And I would love to offer some longer distance walks once in a while for those up for the challenge!  Look out on Facebook for information on these special events.
